OPPO, a smartphone brand that relied on its on-ground retail presence to maintain its market share in India needed to find a way to launch and sell a new flagship phone during the pandemic lockdown.
We discovered smartphone buyers missed retail stores more for raw product experiences, unfiltered demonstrations and on-the-spot deals since instant gratification had already been addressed by same-day ecommerce delivery.
We positioned our launch as an unfiltered talk show where the host and guests demonstrated the smartphone in a livestream where the product was demonstrated in an interactive environment and deals were presented to and redeemable by viewers in real-time.
