Pepsi was co-hosting a Money Heist watch party with Netflix and wanted to maximise the number of attendees while also using the partnership to increase sales of a limited edition golden Pepsi bottle.
Digital ownership (through NFTs, virtual merch etc) was growing faster than physical collections especially amongst our audiences who wanted to continue displaying their fandom during the pandemic.
We created an augmented reality filter for Instagram that allowed consumers to unlock a golden ticket by buying and scanning a Pepsi. This ticket was not only an invite to the watch party but also served as a collectible for fans.
